white lies
My son missed his potty and peed on the floor. I cleaned it up with paper towels but forgot to actually CLEAN it with cleaner. My husband stepped on the damp spot later that night and freaked - so I told him it was just cleaner and to stop freaking out about it. - MP

Multitasking
I think it's perfectly fine that at 10am this morning I was eating left over mashed potatoes, dancing, and cleaning the kitchen. I was much happier cleaning this way than the normal quiet & frustrated mood I usually am in when cleaning. - MP

Disinfect
Occasionally when my son's highchair tray is extremely dirty after a meal, I let my dogs lick it to get a head start on the cleaning. I'm going to sanitize the tray anyway!

Pox
Chicken Pox has infected our home. And I was actually asked to hold a Pox Party!!! My hubs said I could charge $20/child and that actually made me consider it. - MP

Intentions
I have every good intention of starting to do 'preschool' type stuff with my tot - but I still, after weeks of getting stuff, haven't put it into effect. Maybe in the fall I'll start. - MP

Splish Splash
My husband was working late so it was me and the one year old for dinner. My one year old wouldn't play with his bucket of toys and was more interested in the oven. I repositioned him into the living room and he then proceeded to find the dog's water bowls. I let him play with the water bowl while I finished dinner! - Marcy F.

Ouch!
While out to dinner with our 2 year old daughter a male server came to our table to ask how our meal was. Our lovely daughter then decided to punch him in the *you know what* -so hard he screamed "WHOAH girl! That was too close for comfort!" I guess we won't be going back there for a while!! - Kaitlyn A.

FT Nanny Needed
Yesterday was one of those days where if I only had one wish - it would be for a full time nanny. Let me paint the picture for you:
- A 2 year old. (i shouldn't even have to go on)
- A SICK 2 year old (same kid as above)
- An 11 month old that is starting to show his independence yet still clings to Momma
- A SICK 11 month old
- A sleep deprived Momma because said children (mostly the 11 month old) decided it would be fun to only sleep from 130am-530am - leaving Momma with only 4 hrs of sleep.
- Crying/whining/fits every hour. On the hour.
Wouldn't you have wanted a full-time nanny too?!
*note - i DO love my children, yesterday was just very.....challenging.

crawling
this morning my 2yr old and i were watching a disney movie together on the couch while my 10 month old was destroying the tupperware cabinet. a few minutes went by and i heard banging upstairs. i assumed it was the dog - but she was fast asleep on the other couch - i ran upstairs to find my 10month old playing with the bath toys in their bathroom. that sneaky kid crawled up the stairs without me even knowing! how terrible did i feel after that?! - MP

spying
Labels:
husband
when i'm bored at home, i snoop through my husbands computer or phone. i trust him, but i always hear horror stories about women who thought "it could never happen to them", so i snoop. in the last 10 years i've never found anything - nothing. you would think i would have learned by now, but i haven't. he doesn't know that i do this, and i think he would be so hurt if he ever found out. - anonymous

sometimes i wonder if my husband still finds me attractive post-babies. he says he still does, but there are times i'm not so sure. it's been 3 years since he's laid hands on my stomach. he probably doesn't realize it, but i sure do. there has only been 1 time that he has and i was going to say something to him about it, but i was too embarrassed so i let it go. i just needed to confess. - anonymous

exposed
i was at target trying on a bathing suit last night and had my 1 year old daughter in the dressing room with me. Just as I stripped off my last article of clothing leaving nothing but a thong on... my lovely daughter decided to scoot her little self under the door and run out. There was not a soul in the dressing room for me to yell help to so I -in all my glory, ran out after her. I poked my head around to try and see where she was -my whole backside was completely exposed to anyone who may have been in the Target Ladies department around 6pm last night! I spotted her in the card section (atleast 50 feet away), said a quick prayer and ran back and never put on a pair of pants so quickly- didn't bother to button them, and pulled my tank top (no bra) on and before I even had it all the way on I went sprinting through the store looking for her- shoeless... Thank god she found the musical cards and stayed in the card section where I spotted her before. Never been so embarassed, scared, and releaved in such a short amount of time. Atleast I can laugh about it now! :) - kaitlyn a.

tornado
While my little tot was supposed to be taking his afternoon nap, I hear him playing in his room. I go about my business as usual - because he will typically fall asleep after a little while. An hour later he's STILL playing, so I go to check in on him. His room was literally a disaster. The drawers were all pulled out - clothes EVERYWHERE - blankets thrown around the room - stuffed animals all over the place - and toys in every crevice. When I asked him what happened - he proceeded to "tell me" aka "babble". He was quite proud of himself though. Needless to say, he didn't nap and we had a LONG afternoon. Aaah boys. Love them. - MP
